# What is the SkillsTrust Job Library
## The SkillsTrust Job Library is a searchable collection of ready-made job profiles, each one already scored with the gender-neutral point-factor job evaluation method published by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE). Every profile holds two things you can draw on: a written job description, and a full point-factor evaluation. You can bring across just the description, or the description together with its scores, so you do not have to write or score every job from scratch.
### What is in a job profile
Each profile has a job title and description, along with a full point-factor evaluation: a level and points for every sub-factor, a total score out of 1,200, and the job level that score falls into.
Profiles are scored with the EIGE point-factor method. There are four factors, holding 14 sub-factors between them:

For each sub-factor, the job is matched to the level whose descriptor best fits the work, starting from 0 for not applicable. Each level carries a default point value, and the points add up to a score out of 1,200.
Every job's total score sits on a single 0 to 1,200 point scale, split by default into 10 equal bands of 120 points. The band a job falls into is its job level, from Level 1 (0 to 120 points) up to Level 10 (1081 to 1200 points).

### How you use the library in SkillsTrust
You can import a library profile onto an unevaluated job, choosing whether to bring across just the job description, or the description together with its scores. Your own job title is always kept. See *How to import jobs from Job Library*.
You can also browse and search the library by job title to see how jobs are scored.
